Kelford LS Performance Cams - Engine Builder Magazine

Kelford LS Performance Cams

All Kelford camshafts are made using three-bolt cores, however, a single-bolt cam can be requested. Custom camshafts are also available.

The Kelford Cams range of performance camshafts for LS series engines come from years of design, development and testing. Kelford offers quality lobe designs and their profiles feature more duration at .200″ (for the same at .050″) while retaining the desired level of valvetrain control, resulting in greater power over a wider rpm range.

All Kelford camshafts are made using three-bolt cores, however, most profiles are available as a single-bolt cam upon request. Custom camshafts are also available, either designed for your application, or manufactured to your specifications.

Fluidampr Harmonic Damper from Summit Racing Equipment

The factory harmonic damper on your modern GM, Ford, or Mopar V8 are ‘tuned’ to absorb what’s called torsional vibration in the engine’s normal operating RPM range. Performance modifications, particularly ones that increase torque, produce added vibration in an RPM range that the elastomer damper wasn’t designed to handle. That vibration will accelerate component wear,
