Jesel Certified Performance Rebuilds

Engine components are serious investments for any racer and maintaining that investment could be the difference between winning a championship and losing it.

Now that the race season is over, it’s a great time to freshen up your engine. Many shops are calling on their race customers to get a jump on that rebuild work before things get crazy again quickly in early 2023. One rebuild service folks with Jesel components might want to consider is taking advantage of Jesel’s CPR department to inspect, update and rebuild your Jesel rockers, lifters and followers.

Rebuilding Jesel engine components can add years of life to your system, lower your initial investment cost and give you the confidence you need for your next season of championship winning racing.

Jesel products are serious investments for any racer and maintaining that investment could be the difference between winning a championship and losing it. Jesel’s CPR department is a state-of-the-art Certified Performance Rebuild department where their component experts inspect, update and rebuild your Jesel rockers, lifters and followers to precise tolerances.

Shaft Rockers

Rebuilding your rockers can add years of life to your system, and lower the initial investment cost. Once the season is over, you should take the opportunity to have Jesel’s experienced employees rebuild your rockers to exact Jesel specs and clearances. Jesel fully disassembles, cleans and thoroughly inspects all components for wear before rebuilding them. All shaft bearings, retaining clips and alignment spacers are replaced and all steel components such as shafts, adjusters and rollers are replaced as needed. Once the rebuild is complete, a rebuild date will be laser etched into the rocker body for your records.

  • Disassemble, inspect and clean all components
  • Shot-peen and update rocker bodies as needed
  • Polish tumble shafts and replace as needed
  • Check wear surface of adjusters and replace as needed
  • Replace shaft bearings, retaining clips and spacers
  • Laser-etch rebuild date
  • Available to all Jesel rocker systems

Roller Lifters

Roller lifters are one of the most severely abused components in an engine assembly and a yearly inspection should always be considered mandatory. Following a thorough inspection process by one of Jesel’s rebuild specialists, your lifter will be disassembled and cleaned. The lifter bodies will be inspected for wear and fatigue and will be reassembled with all new components including the roller, needle bearings, axle, and when applicable, the center aluminum piston. Again, a rebuild date will be laser etched into the lifter body for your records.

  • Disassemble, inspect and clean all components
  • Replace roller, needle bearings and axle
  • Replace aluminum center piston if applicable
  • Reassemble and check tolerances with a bore gauge
  • Laser-etch rebuild date
  • Available to all Jesel lifters built after 2007

OHC Followers

When it’s refresh time, it’s important not to neglect your overhead cam followers. Upon arrival, your followers will be fully disassembled and the bodies will be inspected for cracking and fatigue. They will be thoroughly cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner and reassembled with new valve tip and cam lobe rollers, including new needle bearings and roller axles. The steel bodies are the only parts to be reused. A rebuild date will be laser etched into the follower for your rebuild records.

  • Disassemble, inspect and clean all components
  • Replace valve tip, cam roller, needle bearings and axles
  • Inspect pivot ball receiver
  • Reassemble and check tolerances
  • Laser-etch rebuild date
  • Available to all Jesel OHC followers

Crankshaft Offering Update

Because of the variability of crankshafts that can be purchased and the way it influences the engine being built around it, the crankshaft market is always changing and evolving.

Crankshaft

If the camshaft is considered the brain of an engine, most professional engine builders have dubbed the crankshaft as the heart. Like the rhythmic change of pressure in blood vessels provided by the heart, the crankshaft controls the steady rhythm of the cylinders’ up and down movement, and therefore, the rest of the engine. Similarly, it allows for oil to be pumped (like a heart) into its center and to exit from rotating journals located under every rod and main bearing.

Diesel Fasteners: Is The Competition Growing?

As many of you know, under higher combustion pressure, having your cylinder head(s) effectively clamp down the block surface is absolutely critical. Therefore, choosing a brand of head stud that you trust to get the job done is just as important.
