MGP’s billet aluminum connecting rods are typically custom made to order for leading race teams and engine builders. However, thanks to an arrangement with Diamond Pistons, the company’s most popular applications will now be stocked at Diamond’s Michigan facility, which also maintains shelf stock of the most popular custom piston configurations.

Through proprietary manufacturing technology centered on precisely machining specially extruded aluminum alloy billets and using MGP’s innovative ILS (Integrated Locking System) process, MGP’s rods have proven to be exceptionally durable. They come equipped with special ARP L19 fasteners that are nominally rated at 260,000 psi tensile strength with ARP Custom Age 625+ bolts as an available option.

Popular applications in stock include small block and big block Chevy engines, as well as Gen II Chrysler Hemis. MGP rods have accounted for many wins in the Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car categories.
