Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series Returns

The five-round championship will begin in July and feature drivers competing in iRacing's Formula 4 car for a prize pool valued at more than $500,000.

iRacing, the Boston-area sim racing platform, is again partnering with the Skip Barber Racing School for the Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series.

The five-round championship will begin in July and feature drivers competing in iRacing’s Formula 4 car for a prize pool valued at more than $500,000, including an opportunity to train and compete in the real-world Skip Barber Formula Race Series.

Drivers will compete in a series of hot lap qualifiers, utilizing iRacing’s time attack platform to earn a spot in each race. The top 20 drivers on the time attack leaderboard will be invited to run each race and will participate in an open test with Skip Barber Racing School instructors on hand to provide feedback.

The top three finishers in 2024 Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series points will be invited to Virginia International Raceway, where they’ll compete for a full-season seat in the 2025 Skip Barber Formula Race Series.
