FCA US recently celebrated the official opening of a new Mopar Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Winchester, Virginia. The 400,000-plus square-foot facility represents a $12.2 million investment by FCA US and more than 70 jobs over two shifts.
Now in its 22nd year, the Wards 10 Best Engines competition recognizes outstanding engines and electrified propulsion systems, as well as the technology and engineering behind them. Winners were announced Thursday, December 10.
The FCA US LLC 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 is one of Wards 10 Best Engines for 2016. It is the third consecutive year EcoDiesel has been named to the prestigious list – the longest tenure of any 2016 honoree. This also marks the second straight year the EcoDiesel has been the lone representative of clean diesel technology among Wards 10 Best Engines.
The 6.2 liter supercharged HEMI V8 and all of its 707 horsepower were recently announced to be making a new appearance in the FCA brand family. According to reports this month, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will feature Hellcat power as an option.
