COMP Performance Group Names Director of Product Development and Adds to Sales Team

COMP Performance Group has named Matt Patrick as its new director of product development as well as Brad Loden as a member of the outside sales team.

COMP Performance Group has named Matt Patrick as its new director of product development. Patrick is a business-focused engineer, with a career that includes successful stints in product management, research and development and mechanical engineering. He’s been with COMP Performance Group for over 21 years, and has a B.S.in Automotive Engineering Technology from the University of Minnesota at Mankato.

“With Matt’s diverse experience within the company, he is the perfect person to lead a re-energized product development effort for our industry leading performance brands. The CPG leadership team is excited for him to apply his two plus decades of market experience, proven leadership and hands-on product development skills to this talented group. The internal formation of the Product Development Group represents a renewed focus to the level of product innovation that has historically been the hallmark of COMP Cams, TCI, FAST and our other brands,” says COMP Performance Group COO, Chris Douglas.

In the new role, Patrick will work directly with Dave Henninger (Research and Development/Testing Manager) and Cindy Bullion (PDG Operations Manager), to lead the restructured Product Development Group, a team dedicated solely to innovation and quicker “concept to competition” time for next generation products.

It’s an honor to have the opportunity to lead our Product Development effort,” said Patrick, “It feels like I’ve spent my whole career preparing for this role since it will draw upon all the various experiences I’ve gathered here at CPG. I’m looking forward to leading some of the best and brightest engineering minds in the performance aftermarket as we ensure that the COMP Performance Group brands continue to be the technology leaders.”

COMP also announce dthat effective immediately Brad Loden has joined the organization in the role of outside sales representative. Loden will put his 26 years of industry experience to work as a territory sales and race support representative, along with providing valuable product development insight from the field to the newly formed CPG Product Development Group.

Brad brings extensive industry experience and great engine builder relationships into the mix,” Douglas says. “As a former engine builder and hands-on motorsports enthusiast, he has a unique understanding of the marketplace, and he fits perfectly with our renewed focus on providing exceptional service and technical support to engine builders.”

A long-time racer, Loden has worked for prominent performance automotive manufacturers in the past. Most recently, he was in sales with CV Products and Roush Yates Racing Engines. Loden brings with him a highly technical product development acumen with expertise in valve train components and engine building, making him an ideal fit to support the innovative brands of the COMP Performance Group.

“I’m very excited to represent the COMP Performance Group products and use my experience and relationships to make sure we are delivering for our engine builders,” says Loden. “As an engine builder myself, I know what these guys are looking for in a manufacturing partner, and I know that in this role I have the resources and management support to help them achieve their goals. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this industry and especially this company.”
