Doug Kaufman has been with Babcox Media since 1987 serving in a variety of editorial and publishing roles. He has experience with BodyShop Business, Tire Review and Brake & Front End, and is currently editor of Engine Builder. He also has been editorial liaison between Babcox and NASCAR, and given presentations at several racing venues and conventions. Doug has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University.
Scott Shriber – Group Publisher
Scott Shriber is a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry. His 27 years with Ford Motor Co. (Dearborn, Mich.) included senior management work in the areas of customer service, field technical training, dealer profitability, fixed operations and warranty, as well as national marketing and sales experience. He has a deep understanding of both direct and indirect parts sales channels, as well as distribution throughout the aftermarket. During two joint venture start-ups, he gained extensive collision, IT and medium-duty truck experience. In 2010, Scott was named publisher of Counterman magazine. He remains a devoted car enthusiast and continual student of the automotive industry. A 1979 graduate of Hillsdale College, Scott resides in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Suzanne, and their three children.
Greg Jones – Managing Editor
Greg Jones joined Babcox Media in January 2014 and currently serves as Managing Editor of Engine Builder. He is also a content specialist for Speedville.com. Prior to joining Babcox, Greg worked for Smart Business magazine as an associate editor. Greg has a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
Christine Perry – Advertising Services Manager
Christine Perry joined Babcox Media in 2016. She is the Ad Service Coordinator for Engine Builder, Fleet Equipment, Tire Review and Tomorrow’s Technician. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a degree in English.
Roberto Almenar, sales manager with Engine Builder and Motorcycle & Powersports News, has more than 20 years of sales experience in various segments of the automotive industry. Roberto has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Sales from The University of Akron and his interests include soccer and golf.
Jennifer Hazen brings a wealth of experience and empathy to the automotive aftermarket. With more than 20 years of automotive sales skill, she is adept at exploring creative methods for her clients to maximize their advertising exposure and budgets. Jennifer is active with all Babcox titles but believes that her relationship with Engine Builder advertisers is somehow the most genuine.
Cathy Kulwicki joined Babcox Media in 2015 as the Manager of Digital Advertising. Cathy works together with all of the regional sales managers and publishers at Babcox Media to help sell each brand’s digital inventory such as eNewsletters, websites, facility targeting, etc. Cathy spent 15 years in newspaper advertising, most recently coming to Babcox from the Akron Beacon Journal where she was the Major & National Advertising Manager. Cathy is a graduate of John Carroll University.
RJ Pooch, graphic designer of Engine Builder’s print and digital components, lives his life a quarter-mile at a time. Actually, more like 120 meters at a time, the length of a pro soccer pitch. Either way, his creative approach to this property keeps Engine Builder on the cutting edge of both fashion and fantasy.
