Rob Munro, owner of Valley Speed Machine Shop in Kamloops, BC, Canada, has joined the Engine Builders Association (AERA) in the position of Membership and Technical Development. According to an association announcement, this new position will help develop and implement programs for new membership, membership retention, PROSIS PRO development and more.
Munro has 31 years of industry experience. He became AERA Board Chairman in September of 2006 (https://www.enginebuildermag.com/2006/08/grow-your-shop-by-getting-away-from-it/) and has completed two formal apprenticeships in both Automotive Machining and Automotive Service Technician, as well as a certification in alternate fuel vehicle conversion. In 2000, Valley Speed was named Engine Builder’s and AERA’s “Machine Shop of the Year.”
Rob began serving AERA as a board member in 2001 and continued serving as an advisor into 2014. “I’m looking forward to digging in and helping out,” Munro says. “Tthe more of us involved in making people aware and helping out our industry the better!”
