Magnuson Superchargers has been a member of SEMA for 40 years.  At Magnuson, Pendergast is responsible for daily operations and overall corporate infrastructure including engineering, testing, product development, marketing, sales, distribution and finance.

Beginning with her earliest automotive career working in NASCAR, she ran the daily operations of a business that built race engines and provided R&D for Dodge Racing. Before entering the automotive aftermarket, Kim was an entrepreneur; where she founded, funded and built five companies with two reaching $70 and $100 million in sales. She has worked in manufacturing and distribution both in the United States and Europe giving her a global perspective with respect to laws and regulations that inhibit competition. Collectively, her experience has given her a perspective on the unique challenges of businesses of all sizes from startups to large global corporations.

Kim Pendergast is often characterized as a serial entrepreneur, and she says her background has prepared her to champion issues important to our industry. If elected, her priorities are to protect performance rights, prepare SEMA members for a future full of change and opportunity, engage youth, and build enduring partnerships with government and OEMS.

On these issues and more, she will fight for the issues that affect manufacturers of all size and market focus.

Pendergast is a President’s Club member of the SEMA PAC board, currently working to defend industry causes. As chair of the SEMA Scholarship Committee she is working with the committee to actively engage high school and college age students in the performance aftermarket.

In 2018, Pendergast received the SEMA SBN Athena Woman of the Year award. Past community involvement and achievements include co-founding an elementary school for children with autism and being selected as one of 20 of the highest potential leaders in the United Sates to become a member of the first class of Henry Crown Fellows. She has served on eight boards in addition to Magnuson Superchargers’ including: Arrington Engines, Client Distribution Services (former division of Random House), National Art Museum of Sport, Learning Spring Elementary School (for children on the autistic spectrum), Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, Waters Global Forum, and Roton Point Sailing Association.

She says, “I am honored to have been nominated for the SEMA Board, and I sincerely ask for your vote of confidence when the online election opens May 14.”
