Having done a lot of the paint and bodywork himself, Will Tetro’s 1968 Nova stood out at the 2022 PRI show. His shop, Harbor Auto Restoration, helped build the car to handle 2,500 horsepower, and making that power is a twin-turbo 427 cubic inch LS engine built by Ochs Performance.
At the 2022 PRI Show, Frankenstein Engine Dynamics had several attractions in their booth beyond their own components. At this year’s PRI show, Safety-Kleen unveiled a new #43 TA2 car that will be driven by Richard Petty’s grandson, Thad Moffitt. Thad will join Scott Lagasse Racing and Safety-Kleen for the 2023 season.
Out of the more than 50 diesel engines profiled in 2022, it was a compound turbo 6.7L Cummins engine built by Frank Davis of Sin City Diesel & Off-Road that took home the Diesel of the Year 2022 honors.
