Joey Logano takes back-to-back October wins at Talladega Superspeedway and advances to the third round of the Chase. Roush Yates Engines in partnership with Ford Performance provided the Ford FR9 V8 winning engine that powered the No. 22 to victory lane in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Hellmann’s 500.

Logano, driver of the Team Penske No. 22 made an impressive statement by winning his second fall Chase race at the legendary Talladega Superspeedway.

The No. 22 showed persistence and patience was the winning formula during the Hellmann’s 500. Logano and his Ford Fusion battled back after an early pit stop issue on lap 67 with brilliant driving and side drafting to get back on the lead lap and in contention for the lead.

The Fords of Logano from Team Penske and Brian Scott, No. 44 of Richard Petty Motorsports, lined up side-by-side to take the green flag during the overtime session. Logano leveraged the Roush Yates Engines’ horsepower from the Ford FR9 V8 race engine and maintained the lead off the long tri-oval and down the front stretch to find himself in victory circle.
