Melling Engine Parts Acquires QualCast

Melling Engine Parts has announced the acquisition of QualCast, a manufacturer and supplier of valvetrain automotive parts based in Nashville, TN. Qualcast offers all facets of valvetrain applications including heavy-duty, industrial, light and medium-duty, marine and performance.

“QualCast will strengthen Melling’s valvetrain business and allow us to expand into market segments we do not have a strong foothold on,” says Melling CEO Mark Melling. “We are thrilled and excited about the opportunities to expand with QualCast and increase our valvetrain range.”

Melling and QualCast will continue independently, operating separately, but with the same goal of serving the automotive industry with exceptional product offerings.

“I have been with QualCast since its inception in 1997. We want to ensure our customers that we will continue to serve the industry with the same level of excellent quality products, customer service, and attention we have had since we started,” says Adrian Long, general manager of QualCast. “We appreciate the Melling team and are excited to move forward together.”

Ian Levitt, QualCast President/Owner says, “I am delighted that Melling is the new owner of QualCast. This is an extremely good fit to enable QualCast to continue to grow and the synergies create even greater efficiency for both companies. Under the stewardship of Adrian Long, our customer base can be assured of continuing excellent customer service, a comprehensive offering and a competitive position in the marketplace. Thank you to Mark Melling for his continued commitment to the automotive industry, and for making this acquisition a reality.”

Melling is a leading manufacturer of oil pumps and other powertrain components serving the global OE and aftermarket automotive industries.
