Hot Rodders of Tomorrow 2018 Season Recap

The 2018 Hot Rodders of Tomorrow season may have come to a close, so here's a recap of the 14 qualifying events, in 11 states with 55 different schools from across the country competing for $4.2 million of scholarships.

1) HROT held 14 qualifying events, in 11 states. California, Utah, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Ohio.
2) The largest event was at the Summit Motorama in Hampton, GA which had 20 teams competing to qualify.
3)The fastest time during the 2018 season was 18:12 by Team Vibrant Performance from Burton Center in Salem, VA.
4) Forsyth Central High School from Cumming, GA has 6 teams qualified for the 2018 Dual National Championship. Jacob Cochran, a former student, coaches two teams.
5) Forsyth Central High School from Cumming, GA has the most students participating with 30.
6) 55 different schools from across the country competed during the 2018 season.
7) In addition to the 14 Hot Rodders of Tomorrow events, the UTI/ Briggs & Stratton Junior Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine experience will attend eight Jr. Drag racing events, including the Eastern conference finals in Bristol, TN. Through out the year HROT will give over 700 additional kids the opportunity to disassemble, and reassemble a Briggs & Stratton engine, learning about tools, torque specifications, and even how to adjust valves with feeler gauges.
8) 51 teams qualified for the 2018 Dual National Championship at SEMA and PRI Shows.
9) A total of 255 high school students may be competing for and receiving college scholarship opportunities during the 2018 Dual Championship.
10) Hot Rodders of Tomorrow has three college partners, Sam Tech, UTI & OTC which will be offering over $4.2 million dollars in scholarship vouchers to the students participating in the 2018 Dual National Championship.
