| NASCAR announced several updates for the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series seasons along with dates and tracks for the 2020 Dash 4 Cash and Triple Truck Challenge events. As one of the biggest changes, the NASCAR Xfinity Series field will be reduced from 38 to 36 cars. The first 31 spots will be based on qualifying times, with four provisional positions set according to the rulebook and the last slot reserved for past series champions. Additionally, drivers in both the Xfinity and Gander Outdoors Truck Series with more than three years of full-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series experience will be limited to a maximum of five starts in either the Xfinity Series and Gander Truck Series. Regarding special events, drivers earning Monster Energy Series championship points are not eligible to compete in either the lower series’ regular-season finale, playoffs race, the Xfinity Series’ Dash 4 Cash or the Gander Truck Series’ Triple Truck Challenge. Similarly, Xfinity Series regulars may not participate in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series’ annual Triple Truck Challenge or the championship race at ISM Raceway. The NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash 2020 races are set for Homestead-Miami Speedway (Qualifier on March 21); Texas Motor Speedway (March 28); Bristol Motor Speedway (April 4); Talladega Superspeedway (April 25) and Dover International Speedway (May 2). The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Triple Truck Challenge is set for Richmond Raceway (April 18); Dover International Speedway (May 1) and Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 15) in 2020.
