Mickey Thompson Names Director of Motorsports

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has named Jason Moulton as director of motorsports.

“With the help of Jason’s hard work and talent, Mickey Thompson is now a top choice in drag radial racing tires, with racers setting new records and sanctioning bodies creating new race competitions around the globe,” Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheel Vice President of Marketing Ken Warner said. “We are excited for Jason to continue to build and expand the Mickey Thompson footprint in the motorsports world in his new role.”

With 23 years of experience in race tire development for the company, Moulton has developed several new drag race tires, wheels, and related products such as Mickey Thompson’s big drag tire program, including the first “Bubba” ET Drag tire for Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Comp, and more classes.

“As a drag racer myself, working for Mickey Thompson has always been a dream job,” Moulton said. “As director of motorsports, I look forward to building on Mickey Thompson’s stellar reputation as a premier high-performance tire manufacturer, whether at the track, on the street, or in the dirt.”

Moulton will oversee a team of motorsports experts and will attend more than 100 race events each year, providing trackside service to racers at national, divisional, and local events across the country.
