Dura-Bond Bearing Company Celebrates 75 Year Anniversary

Dura-Bond Bearing Company is celebrating reaching two industry milestones – the company’s 75th anniversary since being founded in Palo Alto, CA in 1947, and the 75th birthday of Dura-Bond’s CEO and Chairman Charles Barnett.

Since being founded in 1947 in Palo Alto, Dura-Bond moved to Nevada in 1987. Dura-Bond developed the full round, no seam cam bearing after WWII for the rebuilding industry. The company also brought in the powder metal valve seat product line in 1996 for advanced valve seat technology. In the years since, Dura-Bond has expanded into transmission product line offerings with components and kits, and the company’s future is in place for powertrain to compliment the changing markets.

Charles Barnett

Charles (Chuck) Barnett, Dura-Bond’s CEO and chairman, has been with the company for 26 years and is also celebrating his 75th birthday. Earlier this year, he received the Charles Yount Lifetime Award from AERA.

Moving forward, Barnett will be staying around as Dura-Bond’s chairman, while letting the Dura-Bond team continue to serve the company’s customers and markets.
