Devin Moran Earns Second DIRTcar Nationals Championship

Bilstein-sponsored racer Devin Moran continued his hot start to the season, winning the DIRTcar Nationals overall championship for the second straight year.

Moran earned the 2022 “Big Gator” trophy with four podium finishes during six nights of racing at Volusia Speedway Park. Competing on Bilstein AS2-R Series shocks, “The Mailman” took the title by a single point over DIRTcar Nationals finale winner Chris Madden.

“It’s been impressive to see just how competitive Devin and his team have been right out of the gate,” said Aaron Morey, Head of Motorsports for thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. “The speed and consistency they’ve shown so far makes him tough to beat.”

Moran, one of 12 Team Bilstein drivers competing in high-profile dirt racing series this year, has three wins and 11 podium finishes in 20 events so far this season, including winning the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season-opening Super Clean Super Bowl of Racing.

Bilstein-backed racers compete on the company’s AS2-R Series shock absorbers. The lightweight, modular aluminum shocks feature leading-edge reservoir technology. Independent high- and low-speed compression adjustments control bleed through a needle and high speed through a cage preload.

Paired with superior AS2 Series dampers, the packages are offered in common lengths with upgradeable options to suit changing track conditions and driver preferences.
