Elgin Honored by GM for 100% On-Time Shipping

Elgin Industries, a manufacturer of engine and chassis components, has been honored by the General Motors Customer Care and Aftersales organization for 100% on-time shipping throughout 2022. 

Elgin for the fourth consecutive year has achieved the automaker’s Platinum Level Supplier status, recognizing flawless order-fill and shipping performance. Elgin manufactures a variety of engine components that are installed as original equipment and/or distributed through GM’s network of dealers and other partners in more than 100 countries.

“This award belongs to every member of our team, who embrace our vision to be the best business partner to customers, large and small, worldwide,” said Elgin President and CEO Bill Skok. “We value our long relationship with General Motors and work each day to provide superior product quality, performance and value to their Customer Care and Aftersales distribution network.”

Elgin serves leading vehicle OEMs, aftermarket distributors, production engine rebuilders and other customers from its fully integrated manufacturing, distribution and headquarters complex in Elgin, Ill. The company produces a broad range of internal engine components, including push rods, camshafts, valves, valve springs, rocker arms, lifters, timing sets and other parts for passenger vehicles, racing and street performance applications, motorcycles, powersports equipment, and gasoline- and diesel-powered commercial, agricultural and industrial engines.
