The nearly $20 million expansion project consolidates operations previously located in Novi and Ann Arbor, Mich., onto the company’s new campus in Farmington Hills.

MAHLE has consolidated four locations on the expanded Farmington Hill campus. The Test Systems and Engineering Services business of MAHLE Powertrain LLC moved from rented space in Novi and is now consolidated under one roof with the Tech Center operations of the Engine Systems and Components business unit.

MAHLE Industries Inc. corporate functions such as central controlling, finance, human resources and IT also moved from Novi and are now in the same building with the central sales organization.

MAHLE’s aftermarket business unit, MAHLE Clevite Inc., relocated from offices in Ann Arbor to Farmington Hills.

There are now nearly 400 employees on the Farmington Hills campus.

“The benefits of having all of these functions on one campus are obvious, and the signal of size and stability sent to the outside community and our employees is clear,” said Roland Zitt, president, MAHLE Industries Inc. “Consolidation of these activities will enhance our interaction and allow us to face the future with a new sense of community.”

The latest investment of almost $20 million in this campus, which we celebrate today together, clearly makes a statement to the whole industry and consumers that MAHLE is dedicated to this continent and to our customers.”
