The board of directors of the Plymouth Owner’s Club, Inc. has voted to allow “Modified” Plymouth cars, trucks and Fargo commercial vehicles into the club membership. This change means that they will now be able become dues paying members of the club and to be judged at an official Plymouth Club meet in a new “Class 5” that has been created. The club has been primarily known for only allowing “restored” cars and trucks into its membership. This is a significant achievement to continue the club’s stated purpose into the next century. In the future, our club’s mission statement (below) will be revised to reflect this new change.
“The purpose of the Club is to encourage the use, preservation and restoration of all Plymouth automobiles and trucks and Fargo trucks, particularly the AUTHENTIC restoration of these models, to provide and regulate meets, tours and exhibitions for members vehicles, to provide high judging standards at these meets, to publish in the club magazine information of interest and value to the members, and to discourage any activities, ideas or philosophies contrary to these aims.”
