ACL Bearings and Bushings for Light-Duty Diesel

ACL used the recent AAPEX show to introduce its new line of engine bearings and rod bushings designed specifically for light-duty diesel engines: Ford Powerstroke, GM Duramax, Navistar, Cummins and Caterpillar.

ACL used the recent AAPEX show to introduce its new line of engine bearings and rod bushings designed specifically for light-duty diesel engines: Ford Powerstroke, GM Duramax, Navistar, Cummins and Caterpillar.

Of special interest to engine builders, according to Dennis Fox, ACL’s director or sales and marketing, is the fact that the rods and main bearings are fabricated of tri-metal material – an important metallurgical feature for withstanding the dynamic forces of these stout engines. Fox also pointed out that the components have been tested extensively both in the lab and in the field with outstanding results.

Available components and their features:

Main Bearings: Trimetal construction. Available in oversizes for conveniently aligning bore blocks using bed plates, as well as blocks using traditional main caps.

Rod Bearings: Trimetal construction. The ideal solution for PM rods or shifted cap steel rods by restoring OE alignment and tolerances.

Cam Bearings: Full round (seamless), centrifugally cast Babbitt.

Rod Bushings: Meet or exceed OEM specifications. A printed flier contains additional information and engine applications and is available from ACL (800-847-5521) The ACL website also provides information (aclus.com).
