Motostalgia is one of the world’s premier luxury automobile auction companies, specializing in rare, exquisite, one-of-a-kind automobiles from opulent pasts and historical moments.

Motostalgia was brought together by Antonio Brunet and Yusuf Johnson, experts in the collector car world and stars in an upcoming, primetime show on a major cable network about their search for collector cars around the world (primarily in Latin America), and Shane Heminway, founder of Monaco Star Events and US Star Events which both specialize in motor sports hospitality, entertainment and event production/promotion in the US and Europe.

Brunet, Johnson and Heminway had all seen the surge in popularity of collector cars worldwide over the last several years and felt there was no better time of the year to host an upscale auction locally than during one of Austin’s biggest weekends of the year.

With so many car enthusiasts and savvy investor/collectors in our city on one weekend they captured the opportunity to host a collector car auction limited to 75 of the finest cars in the world.  They felt the Austin Convention Center was an ideal location for such a prestigious event considering its ideal location and generous space needed to properly display vehicles of this level.

Using these iconic vehicles as a backdrop, the idea was born to have a showcase event marrying the best of the automotive world with the best luxury and lifestyle brands of Texas in one space over two days.

Recognized brands like Mercedes, Tesla, Aston Martin, Bentley and others showcased their latest models alongside these rare legends of the road up for auction.  The vintage themed gala took place the night before with live jazz performances and special live performances by David Garibaldi, whose motor sports themed pieces went on sale with much of proceeds going to charity.

There was a diverse range of 75 collector cars up for auction including several Formula 1 cars from different decades, a collection of vintage Porsche 356’s, several Corvettes, a Duesenberg from the Great Gatsby era, a Pur Sang Bugatti Type 51 and many more.  There is something for everyone and really for all budgets as well.  On top of this, there was various Automobilia pieces on auction and Celebrity memorabilia, such as the necklace from the movie ‘Titanic’, jewelry owned by Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino’s hat in The Godfather, a gun from Wyatt Earp and much more.

A portion of all proceeds will go to charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project, Whole Planet Foundation, Daily Bread Ministries and Babyanne’s Mansion.
