Fel-Pro Introduces First-to-Market Complete Engine Sealing Coverage for ’02-’05 Jaguar 2.5L DOHC V6 Engines

The Fel-Pro Gaskets brand has introduced first-to-market complete engine sealing coverage for tens of thousands of 2002-2005 Jaguar 2.5L DOHC V6 engines (VIN D) registered in North America.

FM-FEL-PRO-HS 26538PT-CMYK-FThe Fel-Pro Gaskets brand has introduced first-to-market complete engine sealing coverage for tens of thousands of 2002-2005 Jaguar 2.5L DOHC V6 engines (VIN D) registered in North America. Engine builders and technicians working on these engines can now rely on Fel-Pro PermaTorque MLS multi-layer-steel head gaskets as well as head and conversion sets, leak repair sets and seals needed to complete virtually any sealing repair.

These first-to-market replacement gaskets and seals join more than 1,000 other new Fel-Pro products covering a broad range of late-model foreign-nameplate engines.

“Demand for Fel-Pro sealing technologies now spans virtually every automotive engine nameplate sold in North America,” said Brian Owens, product manager, gaskets, North America, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “Engine professionals trust Fel-Pro to develop innovative gasket designs and materials that address the unique sealing requirements of today’s engines as well as the real-world casting and flange surfaces and other challenges encountered in the sealing repair environment.”

The Ford Duratec-based Jaguar 2.5L V6 engine was installed in more than 45,000 2002-2005 Jaguar X-Type sedans. With aluminum engine block and heads and producing 192 horsepower and 178 foot-pounds of torque, the engine is ideally suited to the latest Fel-Pro sealing technologies, including PermaTorque MLS head gaskets, which provide the robust seal needed to contain peak combustion pressures and temperatures and withstand significant casting motion.
