Federal-Mogul Expands Fel-Pro Gaskets Line

Federal-Mogul’s
Fel-Pro gaskets product line has been expanded to increase the brand’s
coverage of late-model domestic and foreign-nameplate vehicles. The
Fel-Pro brand’s focus on providing 100 percent sealing coverage for
popular late-model and older applications helps engine rebuilders and
repair shops capture and service larger shares of the automotive and
light-truck sealing markets.

The expanded Fel-Pro product line – which now includes more than 600
additional gasket, seal, head bolt and other SKUs – is featured in the
brand’s all-new Master Catalog (#900-09), available through Fel-Pro
distributors across North America.

“We have aggressively expanded the Fel-Pro product line to help ensure
that professional technicians have the most innovative and effective
sealing technologies for virtually all applications,” said Laura Testé,
director, marketing, sealing products, Federal-Mogul. “By choosing
Fel-Pro products, engine rebuilders and other service businesses can
virtually eliminate the need to rely on dealership parts departments
for late-model sealing applications.”

Fel-Pro gaskets are backed by the world-class manufacturing
capabilities and global resources of Federal-Mogul, enabling the
brand’s engineering and product management teams to quickly introduce
proven Fel-Pro sealing solutions for late-model vehicles. The Fel-Pro
Master Catalog features new coverage of late-model domestic and
foreign-nameplate engines, including dozens of additional Audi, BMW,
Chrysler, Daewoo, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jeep,
Kia, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Saturn, Suzuki, Toyota,
and Volkswagen applications.

In addition to extensive new foreign-nameplate coverage, the 2009
Fel-Pro catalog features innovative new sealing solutions for several
high-demand truck applications from Chrysler/Dodge (5.7L HEMI), Ford
(4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L three-valve Triton) and GM (6.6L Duramax
turbo-diesel).

Federal-Mogul also has continued to expand its first-to-market
advantage for the latest OE automotive platforms and engines. Among the
brand’s new products and application coverage are:

•      More than 60 new Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS multi-layer-steel head
gaskets and 94 new head sets for late-model engines. Federal-Mogul’s
Fel-Pro products are the clear market leader in multi-layer-steel
gasket technology and coverage

•  “HST” Head Sets featuring the latest technologies to solve chronic sealing issues

•  Problem-solving Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus intake manifold repair sets for
a significantly expanded range of Ford and GM passenger car and
light-truck applications

•  PermaDryPlus timing cover gasket sets that enable technicians to
re-use the plastic OE timing covers on a variety of GM light-truck
engines

•  A variety of new head bolt and intake manifold bolt sets for late-model engines

The 2009 Master Catalog also offers expanded head-bolt recommendation
information for each head gasket, head set and full set application
listing, enabling the user to quickly identify applications where new
head bolts should be used with a gasket replacement.
