Dennis Westhoff, a twelve-year veteran of Sunnen Products Company, was recently named Global Business Development Manager for the St. Louis-based leader in precision bore machining technology.
Westhoff most recently was Sunnen’s Technical Sales Manager, leading a team of sales project engineers. He started with Sunnen in 1996 as a Special Systems Engineer, where he designed and built custom fixturing and automation for honing customers. From there he continued with the company as a Technical Services Manager, directing activities of the Technical Center, and then as a Sales Project Engineer where he gained valuable experience preparing proposals that included custom tooling, fixturing, automation and complete systems.
Throughout his 12 years with Sunnen, Westhoff has been a key technical resource on hundreds of projects for customers worldwide. "Dennis understands that working globally creates special circumstances that must be considered," said Barry Rogers, Director, Marketing and Business Development. "Once custom tools and fixturing have been designed and tested, processes must be put in place to ensure the solution can be implemented in multiple customer locations throughout the world with consistent results."
In his new role as Global Business Development Manager, Westhoff will be responsible for developing new business strategies and identifying new areas of opportunity for the company’s various machining systems and products.
