Win A Modern Muscle Car Through Prestolite Performance Promotion

Prestolite Performance, a performance auto parts manufacturer for brands including Mr. Gasket, ACCEL, Hays, Lakewood and Mallory, has announced the launch of Modern Muscle X, a sweepstakes that offers the winner a choice of an enhanced 2010 Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Challenger.

The Prestolite Performance team purchased these three automotive icons and is revamping them with Prestolite Performance brand parts. These cars will not only run with enhanced performance, better power and more control, but will serve as a platform for the development of countless new products.

“Modern Muscle X is the first campaign of its kind in company history,” said Eric Scheinerman, CEO of Prestolite Performance. “Over the next several months, our Modern Muscle X team is going to be installing and developing industry-leading products to fine tune these vehicles.”

To win, participants simply have to go to the Modern Muscle X website, www.modernmusclex.com, and complete an entry form. Participants are eligible to sign up to win beginning June 1, 2010. The website will allow fans to follow along with project updates and test drives of each car.

The sweepstakes deadline is December 30, 2010. The winner will be chosen in January 2011 on PowerBlockTV available through Spike TV.

After the winner selects his or her vehicle, the remaining cars will be kept by Prestolite Performance for continued product development.

The Modern Muscle X team, comprised of Prestolite Performance auto experts, has already started installing and developing new products for the cars including Lakewood adjustable toe links and lower trailing arms for the 2010 Camaro.  ACCEL silver tip spark plugs have also been added to all three vehicles.

New products, including those exclusive to Prestolite Performance’s five brands, will be added to the cars throughout the duration of the campaign and will be announced quarterly.

“Everyone here at Prestolite Performance is very excited to see how these cars develop over time and what the Modern Muscle X team can create,” said Scheinerman. “The winner of the Modern Muscle X sweepstakes is going to be a very lucky individual.”
