The
annual Automotive Specialty Products Alliance (ASPA) luncheon held
during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) will feature “A
Monolog with John Washbish.” Washbish, president and CEO, Aftermarket
Auto Parts Alliance, will discuss the present state of the aftermarket,
as well as his outlook for the future at the luncheon, which takes
place Nov. 3 in the Venetian Hotel.
Washbish has more than 35 years of experience in the industry. He was
national sales manager of Michigan Engine Bearings (1982-1986) and AEC
Universal Joints (1975-1981). From 1987 to 2000, he was president of
Clevite Engine Parts, acquired in 1998 by Dana Corp. Washbish was
president of the new Customer Relationship Management Group of the Dana
Under Hood Group (2000-2003). In late 2004, Dana sold its aftermarket
business to Cypress Group, and the new company was renamed Affinia
Group. Washbish was given dual responsibilities and held the titles of
president, customer relationship management and president, Under
Vehicle Group. He also served as a director on the Affinia Group board.
The luncheon, open to all attendees, will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 3 at the Venetian Hotel. Tickets are $100 each and $1,000 per
table. Tickets must be reserved by Oct. 27.
