Keating will be responsible for growing Oliver’s business at a time when the company has made significant infrastructure upgrades in order to expand its product lineup of aftermarket racing parts, including high-performance connecting rods. He begins his duties at Oliver on May 1.
“Ted has a proven track record of growing a high-performance parts business and improving profits,” said Joseph A. Moch, president and CEO of Oliver Racing Parts. “He also brings ‘added value’ with his experience in production and operations. He’s a great addition to the Oliver team.”
Keating joins Oliver from United Engine and Machine, where he has been national sales manager. Prior to 2012, Keating spent 15 years as general manager for Dart Machinery, where he oversaw all aspects of Dart’s operations, including production, quality management, R&D, customer service, marketing and advertising.
Keating attended Eastern Michigan University on a track and field scholarship and earned his B.S. degree in business administration at EMU. He also has a need for speed, having earned licenses from the National Hot Rod Association, American Motorcycle Association and American Power Boat Association. In addition, he holds a private pilot license as well.
In January of this year, ACAT Global, manufacturers of catalytic converter substrates, purchased a significant stake in Oliver Racing Parts, including all of the company’s debt. ACAT is also investing in Oliver’s upcoming machinery and equipment upgrades.
