Schumann’s recently announced its seventh patent for racing wet sump “Paddle Wheel” oil pump technology, which is intended for use with small block Chevy, big block Chevy, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac engines. The “Paddle Wheel” design provides extra exit velocity in feet per second at a rate of 2×1 over normal gear-to-gear methods.
The “Paddle Wheel” is offered in high extra volume, standard volume and minus 25% to 50% volumes. “Paddle Wheel” pumps are available in “SSR” (Sportsman) and “PRO” Series performance levels. Oil volume / pressure is by O.E.M. cup valve or Schumann’s patented 140 half inch ball diameter mini second reaction time “Ball Valve” external discharge.
