King Bearings GM Vortec & LS Series Bearing Design Changes

King Bearings has announced changes in design of the upper and lower thrust bearing shells for GM Vortec and LS series engines.

King Bearings has announced changes in design of the upper and lower thrust bearing shells in MB5293SI & MB5293MC:

•Third symmetrical oil hole added to upper thrust bearing
•Locating lug removed from both thrust bearings
•Set contains both upper and lower flange type thrust bearings
•Available in a polymer coated version for Start/Stop engines (PN MB5293MC)

Polymer coating is factory applied. It consists of solid lubricants and ceramic additives to improve the anti-friction and wear resistance properties of the bearings.

The above changes enable these sets to fit all generations 1999 to present, and enable the thrust bearings to be installed in any direction (longitudinally).
