These pistons are forged from 2618T aluminum alloy and machined on dedicated CNC machine cells to tight tolerances. 2618 aluminum has a lower silicon content than other alloys. That makes the pistons stronger and more ductile—perfect for high-load, high-stress applications like superchargers, turbochargers, or nitrous oxide.
Other features include:
• Rated to handle up to 1,500 horsepower
• -21.1cc dish with two valve reliefs
• Lateral gas-ported to maintain tighter piston-to-bore clearances for better sealing
• 10.5:1 compression on E85 with 1.338-inch compression height
• .990-inch chromoly wristpins for use with wire locks
• Choice of 4.225- or 4.250-inch bore sizes
CP-Carrillo forged pistons come with a heavy-duty, file-fit ring pack with .043-inch plasma moly-coated ductile iron top rings, .043-inch phosphate-coated cast iron secondary rings, and 3mm oil control rings.
CP-Carrillo Pro-H H-Beam Connecting Rods
the CP-Carrillo Pro-H Connecting Rods are rated to handle up to 1,800 horsepower. They are forged from Carrilloy, a proprietary steel alloy with chrome, nickel, moly, and vanadium steel. After heat treatment, each connecting rod is Magnaflux inspected, hardness checked, and machined to final size. Each rod set is then balanced and shot-peened.
CP-Carrillo Pro-H Connecting Rods are available with 12-point cap screw rod bolts made from H11 tool steel or CARR multiphase steel. CARR bolts have asymmetrical threads so thread engagement is evenly distributed. This helps increase the clamp load and fatigue life.
CP-Carrillo Pro-H Connecting Rods are factory length (6.319 inch) and sold individually.
