Gen III Hemi Engine Swap Mounts
The engine swap mounts are designed to work with a modular transmission crossmember BHS542 (crossmember & transmission adapter brackets available separately) to move the engine slightly forward to allow SRV Intake manifold and Hellcat supercharger clearance. Hooker Blackheart swap headers BH2374 or BH2375 are designed as part of this system & provide clearance for all the transmission options.
These engine mounts fit the K-member on trucks that came from the factory w/ V6 or V8 engines. Mounts feature black finish & include (2) engine mounting brackets, attaching hardware & instructions.
Transmission Crossmember & Transmission Adapter Brackets
The transmission crossmember is a modular design that allows the use of several different transmissions & uses a unique mounting bracket for each type of transmission. This design allows future transmission changes by swapping out on the transmission mounting bracket, instead of replacing the whole crossmember.
This crossmember works with engine mounting brackets BHS541 (available separately) to locate the engine slightly forward & eliminates modifications to the firewall & brake booster. Hooker Blackheart swap headers & exhaust systems (available separately) are designed as part of the swap system & provide clearance with all the transmission options.
Gen III Hemi Swap Tri-Y Stainless Headers
Hooker Blackheart Gen III Hemi swap headers are one part of a fully engineered swap system that provides maximum component clearances, ideal drivetrain geometry & clearance for a 3.00˝ exhaust system. These headers fits the 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota 2WD trucks & work with motor mounts BHS541 & Crossmember BHS542 for a bolt-in trouble free Gen III Hemi swap (each part is sold separately).
These high quality long tube tri-y swap headers are made from 304 stainless steel and feature 3/8˝ thick flanges, 18 gauge 1-7/8˝ primary tubes, and 3.00˝ collectors. Headers provide clearance to the brake booster, steering shaft, starter motor (both left & right side mounted starters), and provide clearance for several automatic & manual transmission options.
Gen III Hemi Swap K-Member Filler Plate
The starter on Mopar transmissions mounts on the left or right hand side of the vehicle. If your transmission has the starter mounted on the right side it interferes with the K-member on the 1997-2004 Dakota & this filler plate allows modification to the K-member for starter clearance. This filler pate is made from steel w/ a raw finish for easy welding.
NOTE: Use w/ Hellcat Starter – Required on Transmissions that Mount the Starter on the Right (Passenger Side) of the vehicle. Requires cutting and welding for installation.
